Dog and Pony Show & Saloon

Dog and Pony ShowAt the center of our Great American Frontier Village is the Old West Saloon. This 70-foot trailer has authentic Wild West scenery and provides a wonderful backdrop for all our shows. Inside the saloon, there is Old West memorabilia including a photo gallery of T.V. stars from Westerns and lots of unique artifacts.

The Old West Saloon also serves old time root beer and sodas and sells affordable western wear, such as cowboy hats and shirts.

The Old West Saloon ties the entire Great American Frontier Show experience together. To the left of the saloon lies the Old West Dog and Pony Show. This show provides an entertaining story of life in the Old West for our younger cowboys and cowgirls. This delightful, wholesome story, narrated by our costumed coyote, features trained dog actors as well as a live pony.

Children are delighted by the antics of the dogs as they interact with Benna during the performance. Our Old West Theatre is the perfect venue for viewing a family show during the 15 minute performance.

Also in front of the saloon is our Old West Kitchen with a cast iron Dutch Oven over a fire. Our staff demonstrates, in costume, how food was cooked and prepared in frontier days and at night our cowboys perform sing- alongs and roast marshmallows in front of the fire.

Also in front of the saloon is our Texas Longhorn photo opportunity area where guests can have their picture taken on top of a real Texas Longhorn! Our Mine-Find experience can also sometimes be found in this area where young cowboys and cowgirls can pan for treasures in our river. They will find shells, arrowheads and other exciting artifacts during the experience.
